Mahindra XUV500 is the mainstay of Indian car manufacturers in the UAE and is sold in several countries around the world, including some Middle Eastern countries such as the United Arab Emirates. Over the nine years or so that has remained in production, the XUV500 has gone through three different iterations - each enhancing some or other aspects of this compact SUV. In markets such as the UAE, the Mahindra XUV500 rises against people like Kia Sorento, Peugeot 5008 and Chevrolet Equinox.

Exterior

The Mahindra XUV500 can be classified as a compact SUV, but its size is not too compact. It measures 4,585 meters in length, 1,890 meters wide and 1,785 meters overall height. The XUV500 wheelbase stretches up to 2,700 meters, while its gross weight can exceed 2.5 tons. Regarding its appearance, the exterior design of the XUV500 was described by many for its attractive style and aggressive style cues, which Mahindra said had been inspired by Cheetah. However, over the years, Mahindra has reduced the style too much to please a broader audience base. Despite the reduced styling intensity, the XUV500 remains the car that many people like, while some others don't.
Upfront, the XUV500 comes with a large headlamp with a slim LED projector and DRL unit, an elevated clamshell hood, a revised mesh grille with special chrome surround and surrounds, a bumper that has been carved with upper & lower air intakes, imitation skid plates, and L-shaped fog lamp holder. Along the sides, the XUV500 accepts 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, smooth roof rails, muscular front & rear thighs, high ground clearance and the vertically oriented pull-type door handles. The rear gets a dashing tail light, roof spoiler, and tailgate carved aggressively with chrome bars and dual exhaust pipes.

Inland

The interior design of the Mahindra XUV500 has a lot of curves, contours, and a flat part of the flat surface too. The all-black the interior looks sporty but can also feel bland. To overcome this problem, Mahindra has included several silver decorations, chrome and black pianos throughout the cabin even though their presence did not help much. Considering that the XUV500 is a cost-made vehicle, we expect decent manufacturing quality in the cabin. The chairs are covered with two-color leather and there is more than enough space to get around for everyone.
The list of XUV500 equipment is also impressive, with features such as puddle lights, automatic lights, rain-sensing wipers, folding power door mirrors, leather upholstery, power sunroof, keyless entry with start button, cruise control, drivers who can adjust the seat power, all-round parking sensor with reverse camera, 7.0-inch infotainment touch screen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, Arkamys premium sound system, LED ambient lighting etc. There are also six airbags, anti-lock brakes, an electronic stability program with rollover mitigation, and hill & hill-down control.

Engine and performance

The 2.2-liter Mahindra XUV500 petrol plant produces 140hp and 320Nm, which drive all four corners through a 6-speed automatic transmission. This can push the XUV500 to 100 km / h in 9.5 seconds and to a top speed of 180 km / h.
